Your adventure will begin with an impressive visit to the Imhotep Museum. It is an archaeological museum located at the foot of the Saqqara necropolis complex near Memphis in Lower Egypt, and this museum was created in honor and memory of the ancient Egyptian architect Imhotep, the executor of King Djoser's pyramid collection, as the first to erect a pyramid building and the first to use stone in the execution of huge buildings. The museum exhibit includes a model of Djoser's funerary collection, and one of the museum rooms is designed in the form of a tomb complete with a mummy and a wooden coffin and several pottery and alabaster vessels.
The museum also includes the library of French engineer Jean-Philippe Loire, who dedicated his life to restoring King Djoser's pyramid collection.
Saqqara houses the royal tombs of the dynasties that ruled ancient Egypt from the capital, Minaf. Therefore, our next step will be to one of the pyramids so famous among visitors, the Step Pyramid of Djoser. It is an archaeological monument in the Saqqara necropolis northwest of the ancient city of Memphis, Egypt. It was built during the 27th century BC for the burial of Pharaoh Djoser; it was built for him by his vizier Imhotep. The engineer and physician Imhotep was the primary architect of the extensive funerary complex in the pyramid's courtyard and surrounding ceremonial structures.
The first Egyptian pyramid consisted of six mastabas built on top of each other, a huge advancement in the design of tombs of that era, which was limited to a single mastaba. Djoser's stepped pyramid was 62 meters (203 feet) high, with a base measuring 109 m x 125 m (358 ft x 410 ft), and was covered in polished white limestone. The Step Pyramid is considered the first stone structure of its time, although the monument known as the Director's Bridge appears to have preceded the construction of the pyramid
