Cairo Day Tour
After having breakfast at the hotel, you will meet your certified tour guide to begin our Cairo Day Tour.
The day begins with an awe-inspiring visit to the Giza Plateau, home to the iconic Giza Pyramids, which include the amazing three pyramids: The Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure.
Next, you will discover the Great Sphinx Of Giza, where you're greeted by the enigmatic gaze of the guardian. Carved from a single massive limestone block.
Continue to the New Grand Egyptian Museum. The museum houses a collection of Egyptian artifacts from various periods of Egyptian civilization, from the Predynastic Period to Roman Egypt. There are an estimated total of over 100,000 artifacts,[9] including at least 20,000 that were displayed for the first time ever, such as the complete King Tutankhamun collection comprising 5,398 pieces, on display in a 7,500 m2 (81,000 sq ft) section of the museum.
As the sun sets, your journey through time continues as you visit Coptic Cairo. You will visit the Hanging Church of the Holy Virgin Mary, which was built on the ruins of the ancient Roman fortress of Babylon. The church contains some 110 icons from ancient Christianity in Egypt.
Visit also the Synagogue of Ben Ezra, which was once a Coptic Church before converting to a Jewish Synagogue in the Islamic era, and the Church of St. Sergius, which is located where the Holy Family took refuge while fleeing to Egypt.
When your Cairo sightseeing tours are finished, you will have your Egyptian cuisine lunch in one of the best restaurants in the area before visiting the market in Khan El Khalili, one of the largest and oldest bazaars in the Middle East.
Return to the hotel and stay overnight.
