After breakfast, you'll visit the beautiful Luxor Temple, built by the New Kingdom pharaohs. This temple is a strikingly elegant monument in the heart of the modern town. It's also known as the Southern Sanctuary, and its main function was during the annual Opet celebrations.
Visit the Valley of the Kings and experience an exciting day. The Pharaohs of the time of the new kingdom buried their treasures and mummies in the mountains here, and your guide will explain everything from the outside. From the open grave, you'll explore three graves before taking a trip to the most famous mausoleums: King Tutmos I, King Tutmos III, and King Tut Ankh-Ammon.
After exploring the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Dir El Bahari, a beautiful structure built by Queen Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh of ancient Egypt, I was struck by the magnificence of her reign.
We'll visit the Colossi of Memnon first thing this morning and then transfer you to have lunch in a local restaurant. We'll then return you to your Luxor hotel.
At night, you'll be transported back to your cruise ship.
