Enjoy a high-quality lunch at a restaurant in Cairo before heading to Islamic Cairo to experience the local market and traditional tea-mint at El Fishawy or Layaly Al-Hussein, Cairo's oldest cafe in Khan El Khalili. Return to the hotel for overnight in Cairo.
In the afternoon, visit the Egyptian Museum where your guide will explain all the important information about the masterpieces, including the golden items of King Tutankhamun, discovered in 1922 at the Valley of the Kings.
Next, take a tour of Coptic Cairo, visiting the old Roman fortress of Babylon built by Emperor Trajan in the 1st century. See the Hanging Church built mysteriously above the fortress towers, walk through Old Cairo streets to the church of St Sergius and the crypt where the holy family stayed, and finish at the Ben Ezra Synagogue, one of the oldest Jewish Synagogues in Cairo.
