After your first buffet breakfast at the hotel, your certified tour guide will meet you to start your private tours in Cairo, beginning with the Giza Pyramids area. The tour will provide fascinating insights into ancient Egyptian history, and your knowledgeable guide will be there to answer all your questions while you stand close to the Great Pyramid of King Cheops. This impressive structure, built during the Old Kingdom's fourth dynasty, was constructed by one of Egypt's greatest kings.
As part of the experience, you have the option to take a camel ride in the Giza Pyramids area, allowing you to marvel at the glory of this historic land, once ruled by pharaohs.
Next, you'll visit the Valley Temple of King Chephren, where the royal corpse was mummified for the afterlife. You'll also see the magnificent Sphinx, a symbol of power and intelligence, portrayed as a man-headed lion.
Moving on, you'll explore the Saqqara Necropolis, which predates the Giza Necropolis by 200 years. Here, you'll find the Step Pyramid complex of King Djoser from the 3rd dynasty and the Pyramid of King Teti, who ruled during the 6th dynasty before the beginning of the 1st intermediate period. Inside one of the tombs belonging to the nobles, you'll encounter fine ancient Egyptian art, including the tomb of Kagemni, the vizier of Justice and son-in-law of King Teti.
The tour will then take you to Mit Rahina, the site of the most ancient capital of Egypt, now an open-air museum housing fascinating artifacts from various epochs of ancient Egyptian history, spanning the Old Kingdom, Middle Kingdom, and the New Kingdom. Notable attractions include the alabaster sphinx of Memphis, the second-largest among all the sphinxes in Egypt, and the gigantic statue of Ramses II, a prominent king from the 18th dynasty.
