After breakfast, our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel, and we will begin our day tour in Alexandria. Our first stop will be the Library of Alexandria, a fantastic place to start our journey through this historic city.
Next, we'll visit the Lighthouse Site, which was once one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Today, the location is home to the Qaitbey Fortress, adding a touch of history to the city.
Our tour continues with a visit to the impressive Abbo Elabbas Mosque, known for its grandeur and beauty. We'll also see the monuments dedicated to Alexander the Great and the Unknown Soldier of Alexandria.
Afterward, we'll take a scenic drive along the Corniche, a 30-kilometer stretch that offers breathtaking views of the city from the seaside. This area includes the historic harbor of Alexandria, where numerous underwater antiquities have been discovered.
For a delicious break, we'll stop for lunch before visiting the oldest church in Africa, the Church of St. Mark.
Crossing the Stanley Bridge, an iconic landmark built by Alexander the Great, we'll approach Alexandria's historic core. A leisurely stroll through the ancient city center will allow us to immerse in its rich history.
After a fulfilling day of exploration, we'll head back to your hotel. Later, we'll transfer to your Cairo hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.
