Itinerary
Upon arrival at Cairo airport, our representative will assist you with the passport control procedures and greet you. You'll then be transported to your hotel, Swiss Inn, in a private car with air conditioning. Spend the night in Cairo.
After breakfast, we'll start our day by visiting the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos, followed by a visit to the Valley Temple, where the mummification of King Chephren's body took place. We'll also get a close-up view of the Sphinx, a mythical creature with a lion's body and the head of King Chephren, who guards the vast burial complex.
During our tours, we'll have lunch at a nearby restaurant, which includes a full meal for each person.
Later, we'll visit the Egyptian Antiquities Museum, which showcases the largest and most valuable collection of Egyptian art. We'll spend the night in Cairo.
Your tour guide will collect you from your Cairo accommodation and drive you 350 kilometers east to the Bahariya Oasis. After completing this excursion, which takes around four hours, we'll head to the Black Desert in a 4x4 Jeep. We'll have lunch in an oasis near El Haize.
Next, we'll visit the Agabat Valley, which is located deep inside Egypt's White Desert. Our primary focus will be on touring the White Desert National Park, which is Egypt's most well-known desert site. As the sky changes from pink to deep orange, the rock formations dissolve, and there's a peaceful atmosphere all around. You'll feel as though nothing has ever tasted as delicious as the chicken, rice, and vegetables served around a small fire. The Bedouin crew will handle dinner and desert camping arrangements.
We will start early at 6:00 am to witness the sunrise and have breakfast in the desert at 7:00 am before heading to the Bahariya Oasis. On the return journey, we'll make a stop at Crystal Mountain, also known as Gebel al-Izzaz by the locals. The hill is made up of quartzite crystals. Afterward, we'll visit the Bahariya Oasis and relax in the hot spring known as Bir Sigam, which is considered the best in terms of temperature.
Finally, we'll return to Cairo.
Our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo to visit the major attractions in El Fayoum. The Wadi Hitan Protected Area (Valley of the Whales) is approximately 90 kilometers from Fayoum, where our excursion will begin. Due to the discovery of 40 million-year-old whale skeletons, Wadi Hitan, also known as the Valley of the Whales.
On the way to the Wadi El Rayan Water Falls, you will see Mudawara Mountain. Then, you will visit the waterfalls of Wadi Al Rayan, the only waterfalls in Egypt. Wadi El Rayan is a natural depression in the western desert that was created in 1970 by the overflow of drainage water from the Fayoum farmlands.
After having breakfast, our tour leader will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo and take you to Alexandria in a modern and air-conditioned car. You will be checked into the Paradise Inn Beach Resort in Alexandria.
During your tour of Alexandria, you will visit the most significant Greco-Roman remains in the city. You'll explore the Serapeum, a temple that houses Pompey's Pillar, a red granite column, and descend to the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa.
To enjoy a seafood feast from the Mediterranean, you'll visit the waterfront. You can then explore the Citadel of Qaitbay, a marine fort built in the 15th century on the site of the historic Lighthouse of Alexandria. The National Museum of Alexandria's underwater archaeological exhibitions will take you back in time to the ancient world.
Afterward, you'll embark on a street-food tour of the city to experience the diverse world of Egyptian cuisine, which draws inspiration from Ottoman and Arab traditions. You'll get to enjoy delicacies like koshary, a zesty concoction of lentils, noodles, and sour tomato sauce, along with kebabs, mixed grills, meze dips, and seafood. Finally, you'll end the tour with ice cream and sweet pastries.
You'll spend overnight at your hotel in Alexandria after the tour.
In the morning, our tour leader will pick you up to visit the new Library of Alexandria, a modern building that replaced the Great Library of Alexandria, which was an epicenter of learning in the ancient world. You'll then visit some of Alexandria's best-known mosques, such as the Mosque of Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi and the Nabi Daniel Mosque.
Next, we'll transfer you to the Montazah Palace Gardens, where you can take a ride along the corniche and cross the Stanley Bridge. Although the palace itself is not open to tourists, you can still enjoy the scenic coastline by strolling through the lush grounds like a local and feeling the breeze.
In the evening, enjoy a memorable sunset horse-and-carriage ride down the corniche, followed by dinner at Abou el Sid, a restaurant that serves classy, traditional Egyptian cuisine. Finally, end the evening at one of Alexandria's premier hotels with a special drink at a rooftop bar that offers a view of the sea.
At the end of the day, you'll return to your hotel for the night.
At 7:00 am, your knowledgeable tour guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Alexandria, and you'll begin your journey to El-Alamein, which is located 106 kilometers west of Alexandria and 240 kilometers northwest of Cairo. Once you arrive at El-Alamein, you'll start your sightseeing by visiting the war museum and the cemetery, also known as the Commonwealth Cemetery, which contains the graves of soldiers from various nations who died during the conflict.
El-Alamein played a crucial role in the Second World War, and this tour provides an opportunity for you to learn more about the conflict and other related historical events from our knowledgeable tour guide.
After the tour, the journey continues to your hotel in Marsa Matruh.
After breakfast at your hotel, we'll take you on a drive to Cleopatra Spring, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim. Next, you'll visit the Alexander the Great Temple, also known as the Temple of the Oracle, and a Siwan restaurant. You'll also see Lake Fatnas and drive along the vast sandy coastline.
At the end of the day, you'll spend the night at your hotel.
We'll begin our day by taking a Jeep 4x4 to visit Bir Waheed's hot and cold springs, followed by enjoying authentic Bedouin tea at dusk. After breakfast, we will leave for Maraki Village to begin our trek across the Siwa Desert. We'll cross the desert to reach the Great Siwa Mountain, an awe-inspiring archaeological landmark with the first human imprint on the mountain dating back to antiquity. We'll continue our safari expedition along the dunes until we reach the fossil region, where we'll see the stony coral reefs from the Cambrian era.
Next, we'll proceed to Shaiata Lake, one of the spring-fed lakes in the desert, where you can spot Flamenco birds, indulge in a calming springtime bath, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. You'll also have another opportunity to enjoy desert sand surfing. Finally, we'll head to Bir Wahid spring, another hot spring.
Dinner will be served at the Siwa hotel, where you'll spend the night.
After having breakfast at the hotel, we'll take you to visit the tombs atop the Mountain of the Dead (Gabal El Maouta). There are several fascinating tombs on the mountain, including those of MSW Isis, SI Amon, and the Crocodile Tomb. After visiting the tombs, you can proceed to the Dakrour Mountains, where you'll see the Roman Spring Eye and Abu Sherouf, one of the Siwan Villages, and experience Bedouin culture.
In the evening, we'll have dinner and spend the night in Siwa.
After breakfast, your tour guide will take you back to your hotel in Alexandria for the night. Our first stop will be the Alexandria Museum, which is the first museum in the country and houses over 200,000 artifacts. The museum's collection covers all periods of Egyptian history, from the Old Kingdom to the Roman Empire.
Next, we'll stop for lunch at a nearby restaurant before visiting The Jewelry Museum in Alexandria, which has a collection of over 30,000 pieces of jewelry. The museum's collection includes jewelry from every period of Egyptian history, from the Old Kingdom to the Roman Empire. Finally, we'll return you to your hotel for the night.
