Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel via an exclusive vehicle. After settling in and leaving your bags, you will have the opportunity to explore one of the most impressive marvels of ancient times, the Pyramid of King Khufu (also known as Cheops). This pyramid is the only remaining wonder of the ancient world that is almost intact, and it serves as a testament to the prosperity of ancient Egypt during Khufu's reign, despite there being little left from his actual reign except for a tiny statuette in The Egyptian Museum is a world-renowned museum located in Cairo, Egypt. It houses an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts and antiquities, including mummies, sarcophagi, statues, and other treasures spanning over 5,000 years of Egyptian history.
At first glance, it may appear that the pyramid of King Khufu's son, Chephren, is taller than his father's pyramid. However, this is a visual illusion, as the second pyramid is actually slightly smaller in size but built on a higher plateau. Despite this difference in elevation, the great pyramid of Cheops remains an impressive feat of engineering, with its massive stone blocks carefully crafted and arranged in a highly symmetrical pattern.
Following That you will be taken to see the pyramid of Mycerinus, the son and successor of Chephren, which is smaller in size. All three pyramids - those of Khufu, Chephren, and Mycerinus - can be clearly seen from the elevated Giza Plateau. As an optional tour organized on-site by your private Egyptologist, you can also enjoy a camel ride around the Giza Pyramids, providing a unique and unforgettable perspective of these ancient wonders.
Next, you will have the opportunity to explore the Valley Temple of Chephren and the Great Sphinx, which is believed to have been carved from a single block of bedrock on the plateau for the same king. The Sphinx is a mythological creature with the body of a lion and the head of a man, which was often used by ancient Egyptian rulers as a symbol of power, royalty, divinity, and wisdom.
You will be taken to the Dahshur archaeological site to see two pyramids that were built for King Snefru, the Bent Pyramid, and the Red Pyramid. King Snefru attempted to create the perfect burial tomb four times, resulting in the construction of four pyramids, but there is no evidence of his burial in any of them.
Afterward, you will explore the Valley Temple of Chephren and The Great Sphinx of Giza, which is believed to have been carved from a single block of bedrock on the plateau for the same king. The Sphinx is a mythological creature with the body of a lion and the head of a man, which was often used by ancient Egyptian rulers as a symbol of power, royalty, divinity, and wisdom.
Next on the itinerary, you will visit the Saqqara necropolis to see the hep-sed court, where King Djoser renewed his reign at the pyramid complex. This complex includes the Step Pyramid, which is the oldest stone pyramid in history and a remarkable example of ancient Egyptian architecture.
