After enjoying a sumptuous breakfast buffet at the hotel this morning, you will be met by your Egyptologist guide and taken to the Giza Pyramids, the tombs of the ancient pharaohs of the 4th dynasty. When you arrive, your tour guide will show you the massive Pyramid of Cheops, which dates back to 2500 B.C., and provide you with a thorough introduction to Egyptian history.
Before boarding your private vehicle to enjoy a better perspective of the three pyramids belonging to the kings Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus from the Giza Plateau, you will also be able to see the queen's pyramids next to the great pyramid. For an additional fee, you can take an amazing photo of yourself riding a camel in the Sahara desert, which is considered to be the most sacred place in ancient Egyptian religion.
Proceed downward once more to access the Valley Temple or the Mummification Temple, and then take in the sight of the Great Sphinx, a man-headed lion sculpture created especially for King Chephren.
We will now travel to the location of the ancient Memphis city. It will take around forty minutes to get to the outdoor museum in Memphis, the oldest Egyptian capital known as "manf," where you can view the enormous statue of Ramses II, the alabaster sphinx, and several other statues and antiquities.
Before visiting the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the first stone structure in history, and the Pyramid of Teti, which was constructed by the renowned architect Imhotep, have lunch at a high-quality restaurant. You can also visit one of the nobles' tombs in Saqqara, which belonged to the son-in-law of King Teti of the sixth dynasty. The tomb is decorated with scenes of hunting and offering, featuring a variety of animals and birds.
When your Cairo tours are over, we'll check you into the hotel.
