You will have breakfast on your Egypt Nile cruise before meeting your private tour guide for your Aswan Excursions. Here is an overview of the activities:
First, You will visit the High Dam, which was constructed to protect Egypt from the annual floods of the Nile River. This important structure has prevented the wastage of water and the flooding of Egypt. Aswan, the southernmost city in Egypt, is located near the first Nile waterfall, approximately one thousand kilometers away from Cairo.
Next, you will visit The Unfinished Obelisk granite quarries where ancient Egyptians used to cut and transport granite for the construction of the great pyramids, temples, pillars, and obelisks during the Old Kingdom of Egypt. One of the most notable attractions in Egypt is the Unfinished Obelisk, showcasing the craftsmanship and engineering techniques of ancient Egyptians.
Following that you will visit the Philae Temple, which was built in the Greco-Roman style. This temple was dedicated to the worship of the goddess Isis and is one of the four sites associated with the legend of Isis, Osiris, and Horus.
After the temple visit, you will be transferred back to the cruise ship to enjoy a delicious lunch. The afternoon will be free for you to explore Aswan at your leisure. In the evening, a high-quality dinner will be prepared and served on the cruise boat. You will also have the opportunity to watch an interesting Nubian show. Overnight accommodation will be provided in Aswan.
