After enjoying the hotel's buffet breakfast, meet your tour guide to start your first trip to Cairo on your Egypt tour. When traveling for Easter, you will begin the day with a tour of the Giza Pyramids, stopping at the ancient kingdom necropolis in both Saqqara and Giza.
See the magnificent structures that the well-known Egyptian kings Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus built during the 4th dynasty. The three pyramids are believed to have been constructed as the half-god kings' burial tombs, parallel to a cluster of stars. Your tour guide will go into further detail regarding the history and construction methods of the great pyramids, the largest of which belonged to King Cheops.
After that, you'll be taken to Memphis, also known as Mit Rahina, where you can explore the outdoor museum and its remarkable collection of artifacts. Of particular note are the alabaster sphinx of Memphis and the enormous statue of Ramses II, the pharaoh of the new kingdom who is the owner of the striking Abu Simbel Temples in Aswan.
You will be returned to your hotel for the night after your day tour concludes.
