Following breakfast, we'll travel to the Farafra oasis, where you can take advantage of Bir Setah, also known as Setah Well, a sulfur-hot spring.
Prior to spending approximately three hours driving from Farafa to Dakhla to see the Roman Temple of Deir El Hagar in the middle of the desert, you'll also have the opportunity to tour the old town of Al Qasr and the unique mud brick museum owned by the local artist, Badr.
During the 26th dynasty, some of the most illustrious Roman emperors built the temple. The Roman cemetery of El Muzawwaqqa has some of the most exquisite rock-cut tombs in Egypt.
You could also choose to visit the verdant Dakhla Farms, with its golden sand dunes and azure skies overhead, after spending the day lounging by a hot spring that resembles a pool. We will be spending the day at Oasis Hot Springs, a hot spring resort where you can unwind and take in the local natural wonders, in order to witness the sunset at the edge of the Great Sand Sea. Next, after dinner, visit the Dakhla Farms to witness the breathtaking sunset and incredible sand dunes.
The Desert Lodge Hotel in Dakhla is a great place to stay the night if you're planning a romantic getaway. From the summit, you'll be able to see the gorgeous Rose Mountains and the verdant village.
