Once you have finished breakfast at the hotel in Cairo, your private tour guide will meet you to begin your Cairo Day Tours. You will head to the famous Giza Plateau where you will see the only remaining monument of the seven man-made wonders of the ancient world, the Great Pyramid of Cheops. Additionally, you will visit the pyramids of Chephren and Mycerinus, who were the descendants of Cheops and Snefru. Snefru was the founder of the 4th ruling family in ancient Egypt's old kingdom. You will also see the Great Sphinx and the mummification temple, also known as the Valley Temple, which faces the imposing statue. During the Giza pyramids tour, you will have the opportunity to take a panoramic view and capture the best photo session together. You may also choose to have a camel ride in Giza Pyramids, which is an optional activity.
Let's visit the Saqqara Necropolis, where we can see the Djoser's step pyramid, the first building made entirely of stone in the world, as well as the impressive Teti Pyramid from the sixth dynasty, which has a stunning interior. We'll also explore the Tombs of the Nobles at Saqqara, built for the husbands of King Teti's daughters, where we can learn about daily life in ancient Egypt through the detailed inscriptions and paintings on the walls and corridors of these 4000-year-old tombs.
After lunch, prepare yourself as we will be heading to Memphis, the capital of the pharaohs for a thousand years and a significant religious and cultural hub throughout the three thousand years of ancient Egyptian civilization. Our destination is the open-air museum, renowned for the alabaster sphinx, which is the second-largest one made from an 80-ton block of marble, and the colossal shattered statue of Ramses the second.
We will return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.
