On the fourth day of the Egypt Nile Cruise Tour, guests will begin their day with a delicious breakfast served aboard the Nile Cruise vessel. Thereafter, they will meet their private tour guide to embark on a series of excursions in the city of Aswan.
The first stop on the Aswan tour will be the impressive High Dam, a remarkable engineering feat that has shielded Egypt from the destructive Nile floods that used to inundate the country for months, effectively wasting valuable water resources. Aswan, being the southernmost city in Egypt, is located near the first Nile waterfall, approximately a thousand kilometers away from Cairo.
Next, the guests will visit the Unfinished Obelisk, situated in the ancient granite quarries where the Egyptians used to extract and transport granite for the construction of the great pyramids, temples, and obelisks during the Old and New Kingdoms.
The final stop on the Aswan tour will be the Philae Temple, a Greco-Roman-style temple dedicated to the worship of the goddess Isis. This temple is one of the four locations where the legendary tale of Isis, Osiris, and Horus is said to have taken place.
After the Aswan excursions, the guests will return to the Nile Cruise and enjoy a delectable lunch meal. The afternoon will be left free for the guests to explore Aswan at their leisure.
In the evening, a high-quality dinner will be prepared and served aboard the cruise boat, followed by an engaging Nubian cultural show. The guests will then spend the night in Aswan, lulled to sleep by the peaceful ambiance of the Nile River.
