Private Tour to Siwa Oasis Desert Safari

Once you are done with your delicious meal of breakfast you will then proceed to take your adventurous Desert Safari tour at Siwa Oasis. The journey begins with the visit to the ancient town of Shali which was a bustling centre in the past and is completely preserved in the middle of the desert. Some of it is undergoing renovation since it is near some historical landmarks. From there you will go to the Temple of the Oracle commonly referred to as Alexander’s temple in the ancient Egyptian village of Aghurmi, 26th Dynasty. 

After this, you will go to the Temple of Amun Ra in Um Ubeyda; it is also home of the triad of Gods that include the god Amun. You will also visit the Siwa House Museum in which you will get an opportunity to know more about the culture and lifestyle of the Bedouin people of Siwa. Treat yourself with a fantastic lunch in one of the stunning locations of the oasis either within the Shali fortress or at the Adbo restaurant. 

Next, go to have a bath in Cleopatra’s Spring – Ein Guba, which is a natural spring pool where tourists swim and enjoy that nice water. 

On day four, begin your day with a visit to Nars Island then relax and get ready for a beautiful sunset trip at Fitnas Island. In the evening when you are in the quiet environment of Siwa you will have free time to think about the wonderful feelings of the day.

The first place to visit will be Maraki Village which is around Siwa Mountain. Here visitors are able to find the evidence of early hominids as there are 7 fossilized coral rocks of the Cambrian age which are implanted into the desert territory. 

For the more adventures ones, there is sandboarding on the massive dunes of The Great Sand Sea. Quite unlike snowboarding, the experience of slipping down the silky golden sands is quite an experience in itself. Most often, if you accompany the wax with suitable sand, it’s very easy to move around and make the experience even more enjoyable.

Your first visit will be to the Mountain of the Dead which is also known as Jabal El Mawta where you shall visit the rather interesting tombs of the rulers in the 26th Dynasty including the tomb of Si-Amun and that of the crocodile among others. These made me understand that old tombs give me a sensible way to look at Siwa’s history and its significance in Egypt. 

Third, get by a traditional Bedouin village of Abu Ali where you will see how Bedouins live and what their lifestyle is like. Discover the unusual about their everyday experiences, for instance, the one-class school and other cultural attractions. You will also have the option to pay a visit to the place that is considered the Tomb of Alexander the Great. 

Then, go back to Siwa to take Dakrour Mountain which is famous for the Tourism Festival of El Syaha held in the first full moon of October annually. Siwi tribe consider this site as culturally important and sacred place for the entire community. 

After the whole day of the tour, make sure that you return to your hotel in Siwa to spend the night.
