This tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza, then drive straight to Bahariya Oasis in the morning. Our local Bedouin tour guide will pick you up in an air-conditioned comfortable car and will drive you through the fresh green oasis.
The first locations you shall be touring are the Valley of the Golden Mummies and at this site, ten breathtaking royal mummies were discovered, to demonstrate how the people were buried in earlier days. Then take a visit to the optimal, that of the archaeological remains – Tombs of the Nobles– the social and architectural facility that demonstrates the chair of and power over the oasis owners. Among the most unusual ones are the Zed-Amun-Ef-Ankh tomb and the Bannentiu tomb which was extended to the multi-tomb usage since the practice of burial inside individual tombs was practically unfeasible during the given period.
Temples You will visit the Temple of Alexander because when Alexander the Great was on his way to Siwa Oasis, he spent some time in Bahariya so a temple was built in his honor. The final site on the tour is the temple of Ain El-Mefetla from the 26th Dynasty, But new work in the nineties exposed four other chambers beyond the wall developing this temple back even further.
