Private Trip to Siwa Oasis Desert Safari from Jamaica

The day is again devoted to the desert and the Siwa Oasis Desert Safari; after breakfast, you explore the ruins of the ancient town of Siwa, or Shali. Siwa is a comparatively young settlement; therefore, some partial remains of the ancient town allow an understanding of the history of the place. Subsequently, you will be taken to the Temple of Alexander the Great – it is called the Temple of the Oracle in the ancient village of Aghurmi. Built during the 26th dynasty, this temple still served an important function during the age and was said to be the place where Alexander the Great consulted with oracles.

You are then taken for a tour at the Temple of Amun Ra at Um Ubeyda which is believed to be a deity temple for god Amun and his triad. Later on, get to taste Siwa’s historical side by being able to walk through the house of the Siwa museum which gives a detailed account of the Bedouin people.

The calm nature of the area provides an ideal environment for a bird-watching exercise and occasionally you can view a flock of flamingos. Tire your body and go for a swim in the cold and crystal clear water enjoying the solitude in the middle of the desert.

For those who love tasty moments, the movement is only continued by an interesting view of sandboarding. Sail over the extensive sand hills of the Great Sand Sea; with an appropriate wax effort, have fun sliding over the fine sand. Subsequently, such tourists may take a break and free time to wash off the dust of the desert by bathing at one of the famous Hot Springs Bir Wahid. After that, you will go to the Bedouin village of Abu Ali to try the locally known Bedouin way of life which may be very interesting. It is also important to use the opportunity and visit their one-class school and investigate other aspects of their everyday life. During this cultural experience, you’ll see the Tomb of Alexander the Great—a place that completes the cultural experience of the tour.

Later in the morning, head back to Siwa to explore Dakrour Mountain which is very significant to the cultural values of the Siwan community. Attached to the above festival, the people of El Syaha organize the Tourism Festival of El Syaha on the first full moon of October every year. The Siwan community holds the festival dear and It will be an opportunity to understand its importance while the feast to the eyes in that mountainous region.

After in the evening, you will proceed back to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Siwa.
