Following your arrival in the early morning at your chosen NEW Cairo hotel, begin a great drive to Bahariya Oasis. After an hour of air-conditioned car ride you will be greeted by our local Bedouin guide who will start your tour through the lush oasis.
Your first destination will be the world-famous Valley of the Golden Mummies and 10 outstanding royal embalmed corpses were excavated here. Also, it is possible to go to the social complex of the nobles called The Tombs of the Nobles where you will familiarize yourself with the history of the rulers of the oasis. Some of the most prominent ones are the Zed-Amun-Ef-Ankh tomb and the Bannentiu tomb; The Bannentiu tomb was extended for holding group burials because using individual graves was not functional.
You will also visit the Temple of Alexander, which was constructed to celebrate the visit of Alexander the Great in Bahariya Oasis on his way to Siwa. The tour ends with a visit to the Temple of Ain El-Mefetla built during the 26th Dynasty New ground was excavated in the 1990s and four chapels were built at the site.
