7-Day Egypt Tour Package: Explore Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor & Aswan

Savor your breakfast at the hotel and then meet your licensed guide and private driver to start your Egypt travel Package. 

It will begin with a pleasant drive from Cairo to the city of Alexandria, which was founded in 332 B.C. by Alexander the Great. Upon arrival, your tour will commence at the Kom El Shoqafa Catacombs, an old cemetery and you will move on to the tallest standing pillar in Egypt called Pompey’s Pillar, which was built in honor of the Roman Emperor Diocletian.

Afterward, you will enjoy beautiful views of the Mediterranean at the Citadel of Qaitbay, built in 1477 A.D. on the legendary Lighthouse of the Pharos. After a sumptuous meal of seafood in an upscale restaurant, visit the Modern Bibliotheca of Alexandria, which has a reading space, a conference center, and a planetarium.

To wrap up your tour before flying back to Cairo, this time you will also get a chance to see the main squares and landmarks contained in the city, as well as stopping somewhere for tea or coffee and then relaxing at your preferred Cairo hotel on another day.

 To begin the day, you’ll have a wholesome breakfast at your hotel in Cairo, then meet your qualified Egyptologist guide and head to the Grand Egyptian Museum, where you'll find the most comprehensive collection of Egyptian art. 

After around two hours inside, the Grand Egyptian Museum will be over, and it will be time to see the Citadel of Salah El-Din and the beautiful Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque that was constructed in the year 12. 

After a delicious lunch, travel will proceed to appreciate Coptic Cairo, and after a while, visit the Roman period site called the Fort of Babylon, and the Hanging Church and St. Serge Church, where the Holy Family is said to have visited, will be there. 

Lastly, the tour will feature the Ben Ezra Synagogue, which is located in the Jewish community. After that, you will head to El Moez Ledin Ellah Street, which is famous for Islamic arts and architecture, including the Al Azhar mosque, and several refreshments at El Fishawy, which is the oldest cafe in the Khan El Khalili bazaar. Finally, you will retreat to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.

 Have a wonderful breakfast at the hotel and check out before you go to Cairo airport for your flight to Luxor. 

On arrival, we’ll take you to the hotel to check in for a while, but if it is not possible, we will straight away start the west bank exploration and visit the famous Valley of the Kings, where you will see three stunning tombs of the New Kingdom-era pharaohs. Later view the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon, which are the remains of the mortuary temple of King Amenophis III located across the Nile. 

After having lunch from a nearby locality, proceed with the east bank tour, visiting the spectacular Karnak Temple complex, which was built over 2,000 years ago and comprises walking through the Avenue of Sphinxes—an unfinished pylon-hypostyle hall of 134 gigantic columns that will all welcome you.

 Your guide will stress on the most grandiose remaining obelisk and the temple Amon details. To round up the day, we recommend a trip to Luxor Temple, which is known for its impressive temples that date back to ancient times. You can also choose to watch the Sound and Light evening performance at the Karnak Temple. You shall spend the night in Luxor.

Early in the morning, at around 7:00 AM, after your checkout procedures, you will have a beautiful three-hour drive from Luxor to Aswan. 

Informed by the visual and textual evidence provided, the first place that you will visit after your arrival is the Aswan High Dam, which is situated a distance of 6.5 kilometers to the south of the Aswan Dam—a project that was vital for the economic growth of Egypt and which was commissioned by President Gamal Abdel Nasser. 

Next, you will take a boat to the Philae Temple, where you will find temples built in different eras: Pharaonic, Ptolemaic, Roman, and Christian, with the prominent temples of Isis, Horus, Hathor, and the Kiosk, among others.

 Following the Aswan city tour, you will be offered a tasty lunch with yourself before checking into your hotel. 

The night rest will be in Aswan.

 Following breakfast at your hotel, your Egyptologist will meet you to begin a visit to the to the Abu Simbel temples, also called the temples of Ramses II, where you will marvel at two great rock-cut edifices constructed in his name and of that of his dearly beloved wife. 

You will drive back to Aswan by about 1:00 PM, from where you will be taken to the airport for your flight back to Cairo. After reaching the airport in Cairo, a representative of Cairo Top Tours will meet you and drive you to check into the hotel for the second night in a row at the hotel.
