Our representative will pick you up at your hotel to begin your wonderful tour of the Wahiba Wadi Bani Khalid sands from Muscat. Your day will start early in the morning and you will be escorted by our driver in a 4WD vehicle to the majestic desert wilderness of the Wahiba Sands. It takes approximately four hours t drive from Muscat to reach the vast expanse of desert, which is part of the Al Sharqiya Sands of Oman, also known as the Wahiba Sands or Ramlat al Wahiba. Wahiba Sand is an ocean of high dunes that seem to stretch out endlessly and some of the dunes rise to 200 m in ever-changing patterns as the winds sweep all around. Wahiba desert is the place if you wish to experience Oman’s desert in all its glory.
To survive in the desert, you need water and the Desert Oasis is the main source of water in this part of the world, move to the naturally stunning Wadi Bani Khalid known as paradise in the middle of the sweltering sands. You will travel through Wadi Bani Khalid to visit a local Bedouin family in their home to learn about their lifestyle up close and share coffee and dates with the authentic Bedouins. Enjoy the clear blue waters. After cooling off and relaxing, you will be provided with a boxed picnic lunch and refreshments. At the end of the excursion, our guide will take you back to your hotel.
