This tour is one of the best and most mesmerizing tours from our destinations because you will wake up to watch the sun rising on the millenary land of Egypt, and you will travel through time to the era of the Pharaohs. Your adventure is going to start amid the grandeur of continental Cairo. Amidst the hustle of trade and the running of the city. You will start to learn more about the history; you will hear it through street echo and smell it through exotic spices in the middle of the air.
The first destination from here is the Giza Plateau, where the Sphinx (a)—the legendary Egyptian guard—gazes at the three dazzling Pyramids of Giza. As you look at these anthropological masterpieces, you marvel at their ancient heritage, which dates back thousands of years. Next, as you cross the stony roads of the old city, you find yourself in the times of the Sultans of the Ottoman Empire. The olive bencher's scent intertwines with the bread smell from the bakery, while the muezzin's call from the mosque minarets reverberates from faraway hills.
Daily Details for Travel Tour and Activities
Welcome to Cairo, Egypt. Our tour manager will meet you at Cairo International Airport, along with a driver. They will help you in any way they can, you will be driven in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel.
Spend the remainder of the day as you choose. Retire to your room and recover from your flight; dive in the pool, or head outside and immerse yourself in Cairo chaos.
At your hotel in Cairo, you will enjoy breakfast and then meet with your personal guide who will take you to the Giza Plateau to visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus – plus the famous Sphinx and Valley temple in the shadow of the great statue. Lunch will be included as part of the tour and, afterward, you will proceed to the Sakkara area to explore the Sakkara Complex and see the very first pyramid ever built, which is the Djoser Pyramid. The tour will then move to Memphis: the capital of the Old Kingdom and the famous Necropolis. Spend the night in Cairo.
After breakfast at the hotel, your private guide will escort you to the Egyptian Museum where you can explore the great treasure rooms of the legendary King Tutankhamun. You will have the option of acquiring tickets for the mummy exhibit. Lunch will be taken at a local restaurant and then you can move to the Saladin Citadel including Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque inside. Venture onward to Coptic Cairo to experience the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue. You can mix your enjoyable time exploring the history of the region while shopping at the amazing Khan El Khalili Bazaar, which dates back to 1382. Back to the hotel and overnight in Cairo.
Wake up to another delightful breakfast served at your hotel in the morning, and then you will either have the entire day to yourself, or else you will be taken to Alexandria for a tour of Egypt’s second capital. The Alexandria tour from Cairo is optional and is therefore not included in the standard price of our 8-day Cairo to Istanbul tour package.
If you have opted in for this tour, you will then be picked up from your hotel at the agreed time, and you will be driven to Alexandria for an unforgettable tour of the city’s best historical attractions. The first place you will visit upon arrival will be the imposing Qaitbay Citadel which was once one of the most crucial and most impenetrable military strongholds along the entire Mediterranean coastline.
You will also visit the Alexandria library before heading to visit the rock-cut Catacombs. Finally, you will be driven back to your hotel in Cairo.
On the fifth day of your trip, you'll bid farewell to Cairo and board a flight to Istanbul, Turkey’s vibrant and historically rich metropolis. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel, where you can settle in and prepare for your new adventure. Istanbul, straddling two continents, offers a unique blend of Eastern and Western influences, and your time here promises to be both exciting and culturally enriching.
After checking into your hotel, you might want to take a leisurely evening stroll through one of Istanbul's bustling neighborhoods. The city is known for its lively street life, stunning architecture, and delicious cuisine.
