Itinerary

On this private day trip, see the treasures of ancient Egypt. Your tour guide will pick you up from the hotel lobby and take you to the Egyptian Museum, Sphynxes, and Pyramids. One of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Giza Pyramids, should be your first stop. Enjoy the breathtaking vistas of the Cheops, Chephren, and Mycinerus Pyramids. After that, pause to take pictures with the stunning Great Sphynx. You are free to travel to the Great Pyramid at your own expense. The next step is to visit a nearby restaurant to sample some Egyptian cuisine.

You'll visit the Egyptian Museum when you're done. More than 250,000 objects from more than 5,000 years' worth of history may be found in these extensive exhibitions. Then, at your own expense, you may look around King Tutankhamun's chamber, which is filled with colourful jewels and gold, if you so wish. These exquisite artefacts were kept in the King's tomb for 3,500 years until being uncovered in 1920 during an excavation.

Finally, you will be transported to the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar where you may take in the ambience of a neighbourhood market in the historic district. Explore this ancient souk (market) and see the wide selection of locally manufactured jewellery, antiques, and souvenirs available for purchase. Once you've had your fill of Egypt's wonders, end your trip with a ride back to your hotel.

Early in the morning, we drove our van the 340 kilometres from Cairo to the Oasis Bahariya.

The closest oasis to Cairo is Bahariya, which is known for its 398 mineral and sulphur springs, some of which have temperatures as high as 45 degrees and are renowned for its therapeutic properties. Bahariya is flanked by black hills built of ferruginous quartzite and dolerite. arrive at Bawiti, the Oasis's hillside-based capital. Lunch will be served at your CAMP. You will begin your trip to the Black Desert, which is located nearby Bahariya Oasis, after lunch. Iron in the desert is one of the causes of the black rocks.

You will drive to the little Bedouin settlement of El Hez after exploring Gabal el Marsos (Divided Mountain) on foot. You will stop at Crystal Mountain and Agabat el Sharkia, El Santa tree, then travel 160 km on/off road to the White Desert. The White Desert is known for its chalky, cream-colored terrain and wind-carved mushroom-shaped formations that mimic both human and animal features. You may enjoy the beautiful desert sunset today as we travel through the White Desert to our hotel in the Bahariya Oasis for supper and a break before wrapping up the programme with a trip back to Cairo.

Pickup from your accommodation in Cairo or Giza at 7:00 am for the 220 km trip to Alexandria. Arrive in Alexandria at 10 am to begin your day trip, stopping at the Roman Theater (A theatre with marble seats up to 800 spectators, galleries, section of mosaic flooring & a pleasure garden surrounded by Roman Villas & baths).

Then you'll go to Kom El-Catacomb, Shoqafa's a three-level gravestone that also has the Tri-cilium, where family members formerly sat on stone seats to feast the deceased. There are sculptures of Sobec and Anubis in Roman armour from the second century within.

After that, have a free stroll along the Cornish at El Mursi Abu Elabas, Qaytbay Citadel, and Alexandria Library.

You'll be taken back to Cairo at the end of the excursion. You'll be back in Cairo at about 9:00 p.m.

Between visits, lunch is provided at a nearby restaurant, but drinks are not.

You check out of your Cairo hotel after breakfast and are then picked up by our tour guide to be escorted to the international Cairo airport.
