After early morning breakfast at the hotel, you will be ready to meet your private Egyptologist guide in the hotel lobby to begin your tour of the pyramids of Giza. On the way to the Giza necropolis, the guide will tell you a brief history of Egypt. Upon arrival at the Giza Plateau, you will stand at the foot of the Great Pyramid of King Cheops, which was built by the king during his reign (2500 B.C.) due to the prosperity Egypt achieved during this period, which is known as the golden period or pyramid-building period, which was marked by massive structures built for kings and rulers of Egypt to use as burial tombs, and also played an important role in keeping the Pharaoh name alive throughout history.
From here you will continue to a higher plateau where you will see the second pyramid of King Chephren and have a spectacular view of the entire Giza plateau, including the pyramid of King Meekerin with 3 neighboring pyramids of queens. You will have a great opportunity to ride camels through the pyramids of Giza (optional), and your Bedouin guide will take mesmerizing photos for you while you hold onto the pyramids with your hands.
Continuing your tour of the pyramids of Giza, you will go to the Valley Temple, where the mummification of the king took place as part of the funerary ritual. In front of the temple is the famous statue of the humanoid lion known as the Great Sphinx, which guarded the necropolis for centuries, we think this sphinx was carved for King Chephren himself.
