This temple's construction began in the late Ptolemaic dynasty and was completed during the reign of the Roman emperor Augustus. The result is an interesting mix of imagery that includes Egyptian and Roman themes with images of Roman emperors and pharaohs worshiping Egyptian gods. The temple was dedicated to the Nubian god Mandalas. You will also visit Beit El Wali, which was rescued from Lake Nasser by a Polish archaeological team funded by a joint project of the Oriental Institute of Chicago and the Swiss Institute in Cairo. The temple itself was built on a symmetrical cruciform plan. It consists of a deep hall, a transverse antechamber with two columns, and a sanctuary. Known as speos, the temple was mainly carved out of the surrounding rock, except for the front wall of the deep hall with its central door. After the visit, you will return to the cruise for refreshments and lunch on board, then the cruise will sail to Wadi El Sebou temple passing through the Tropic of Cancer.

Although it was not moved to its current location until the 1960s, it was quickly forgotten and neglected. You will be back on the boat for lunch while the boat sails to Amanda, Amanda Temple is the oldest of the monuments around Lake Nasser. Dating from the 18th Dynasty of the New Kingdom, the temple predates Ramses II and Abu Simbel by about two hundred years; however, as it is typical of the great Pharaoh of Egypt, the mark of Ramses and that of his son Merenptah can be found inside.
