We will drive you to Tahrir Square in Cairo, where we will visit the Egyptian Museum. We will tour the museum's various halls to witness the treasures it is home to.
We will depart from downtown Cairo and continue on to Old Cairo. We will begin our Islamic exploration there by touring the Mamluk Mosque, Sultan Hassan's Madrasas, and the mosque of Ibn Tulun, which was built more than a thousand years ago and is the oldest still-standing mosque in Africa.
You will then be driven to Coptic Cairo. You will begin your tour of Cairo in the Coptic neighborhood where you will view the Roman fortress of Babylon, an ancient Roman garrison constructed by Emperor Trajan. Go on to the Hanging Church, which was constructed over the fortress's ruins.
We'll also take you to the Abu Serga Church, which is situated over the Holy Family Cavern, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue in Old Cairo, which is one of Cairo's oldest synagogues and has a fascinating history. Along with your guide, learn more about Coptic Cairo before stopping in Old Cairo for a sumptuous lunch.
