After taking your breakfast, you will be meeting your special tour guide to start your Egypt Easter tour.
You will be transferred to Giza Plateau to see the Great Pyramid of Cheops, which is considered as one of the seven wonders of the world and was built with more than 2.6 million pieces of rock, each one weighing 50 tons. King Cheops was one of the most famous kings in ancient Egypt. He was the son of Sneferu, who was the king before Cheops, and he took the power after him as the second ruler in the fourth family. There is no other king who has reached his fame.
Then you will see The middle pyramid of King Chephren,he wanted to build a pyramid bigger than his father 's pyramid of Cheops but because he honored his father, he decided to build a smaller one but he built his pyramid on a higher plateau than his father's land, and people today see the middle pyramid as being bigger than the Great Pyramid, then the pyramid of Mycerinus, which is the smallest of the three main pyramids of the Giza Pyramid Complex.
You'll also see The Great Sphinx of Giza - a limestone statue of a reclining sphinx, a mythical creature with the head of a human, and the body of a lion. Facing directly from west to east, it stands on the Giza Plateau on the west bank of the Nile in Giza, Egypt. It was built by King Chephren to protect the pyramids from the cemetery thieves to make them think it was a real God to protect the pyramids from the enemies.
We will be headig then to The Valley Temple, which was a mortuary temple for king Chephren.
Then you will be taking your lunch lunch at a good quality local restaurant before moving to downtown Cairo.
After that you will be visiting The Egyptian Museum - The world's largest museum has more than 120,000 artifacts and huge statues,especially the Golden King Tutankhamun and his unique treasures.
Then your guide will take you to see the old Coptic Cairo part of the tour where you will be able to see the Hanging Church, which is the most famous site in Coptic Cairo: the Church of the Virgin Mary, better known by its nickname, the Hanging Church. This name comes from the fact that it was built on top of a 4th century BC on the southern wall of a Roman fortress of Babylon.
You will also visit the church of St. Sergius: It was used as a safe haven for the holy family during their escape from the Roman soldiers and King Herod.
Then going to the Ben Ezra Synagogue: It`s considered a prayer place for Jews, it is also believed that the site of the Synagogue is where the box of Baby Moses was found.
Continue driving with your tour guide to start the Islamic Cairo tours, to your time in the lively Market of Khan El Khalili, Egypt's most famous ancient market and bazaar, this is the place where tourists can find genuine Egyptian souvenirs.
You can enjoy your tea in El Fishawy Cafe one of the major coffee shops in the heart of El-Hussein Area.
