The second pyramid of King Chephren, Cheops' son, built a pyramid in Giza slightly smaller than his father's. Additionally, the famous Sphinx is located on the high plateau above the Pyramids, and you can enjoy a camel ride on the Giza Pyramids to take amazing photos of it if you choose to do so (optional).
The Great Giza Sphinx is a magnificent guardian statue of ancient Egypt. The Valley Temple is an ancient temple located right in front of the Sphinx. It was principally built to perform the ritual known as the opening of the mouth, which is used to mummify King Chephren so that he can eat, drink, and talk properly in the afterlife.
You will be transferred for a 35-minute drive to visit the open-air museum in the ancient city of Memphis to explore the treasures and masterpieces that remain from the oldest capital city of the Egyptian Empire.
