2 Days Cairo Short Break

After your flight arrives at Cairo International Airport you will be welcomed by our representative who will transfer you privately by an exclusive vehicle to your hotel to leave your bags and get ready to see the most impressive marvel that endured from ancient times, the only remaining wonder almost intact from the 7 wonders of the ancient world. the Pyramid of King Khufu who is mostly famous by the name Cheops, although nothing is left from his reign except for the tiny statuette in the Egyptian Museum, the pyramid reflects good proof of how prosperous Egypt was during his time.

From far away, you will feel that the pyramid of his son, Chephren is taller than that of his father, but the truth is that the second pyramid which is slightly smaller in respect is built on a higher plateau regardless of the very elaborate symmetric that the huge stone blocks of the great pyramid of Cheops hold.

Your 2 days Cairo short break continues as you will be transferred to see the pyramid of Mycerinus, Chephren's successor and son which is built smaller, and all of them are seen clearly from the high Giza Plateau where you can enjoy camel riding around Giza Pyramids as an optional tour organized on spot by your private Egyptologist.

Now it's time to explore the Valley Temple of Chephren along with the Great Sphinx that we believe was carved from one block of the bedrock stone of the plateau for the same king, it is a mythological figure of a man-headed lion that most of the kings and rulers of ancient Egypt used as a signification of power, royalty, divinity, and wisdom.

Transfer to Dahshur archaeological site to see two pyramids that were built for King Snefru, the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid. King Snefru tried for 4 times as recorded to achieve the perfect burial tomb, so we have 4 pyramids in which no evidence that he has been buried inside any one of them.

Now, we will be visiting the Saqqara necropolis to see the hep-sed court where King Djoser renewed his reign at the pyramid complex which contains the Step Pyramid, the oldest stone pyramid in history.

Transfer back to the hotel, overnight, and if you feel like going for other things to do in Cairo at night you can let your personal tour consultant suggest the preferred tours in Cairo with a suitable pick-up time.
