Deir Al Hajar architecture design
One of the most beautiful archaeological sites in the New Valley to add to your Egypt luxury tours, and the only one that resembles the Karnak Temple at its entrance. It was known to the ancients as "sit-wah," that is, the site of calm and stillness that the ancient Romans set up to worship the righteous trinity of Amun-Ra, Mut, and Khonsu. The Ministry of Antiquities will conduct a number of stages of restoring the temple, implementing a plan to light the temple at night, and constructing stairs for visitors to access it easily during their Egypt classic tours.
The temple was famous for its architectural style built of sandstone, and engraved on its walls pictures and inscriptions representing the Pharaonic belief of worshiping the god Amun, Mut, and Khonsu, and it is similar in its design, especially at the entrance to the Karnak Temple in Luxor, due to the presence of the rams’ road and the base of the bronze statue of the god Amun-Ra to offer sacrifices, as it was designed in the style of the New Kingdom. You can enjoy the historical attractions and safari tours both by our Egypt desert safari tours or if you are in the Egyptian Oases, so include Dakhla Oasis in your Egypt day tours as it's very small to explore.

There is also the cemetery of Kitano in the village of Al-Bashandi, and the Rabia Temple near Al-Bashandi, which is a buried underground temple dating back to the Roman era. As for the Islamic monuments in Dakhla, they are many, the most important of which is the dome and shrine of Sheikh Al-Bashandi and the Islamic Court area, in addition to many Christian monuments and churches in the concrete ruin area which will join our Egypt small group tours.
