The Sixth Dynasty of Ancient Egypt History
Its founder is king Teti, and we know little about his rule.
History has taught us in all ages that every new founder must be a man of oppression and strength, but the face mask that the archaeologist "Kuebler" found near the temple of the pyramid of Teti in Saqqara indicates his features, that this king was a man of soft character and gentle The emotion if it is true that this mask has worked similar to his face and not to another person.
The historian "Manetho" attributes the origin of this family to Memphis, and perhaps he was right in this somewhat, because the Fifth Dynasty had all the kings and its kings directed towards the worship of (God Ra). As for the aims of the kings of the sixth dynasty, they were heading to the worship of God Ptah in Memphis.
Two documents have come to us issued by the high priest of the god Ptah in Memphis, and they indicate that King Teti was heading with his inclination to organize the priesthood of Ptah, and he has already made important reforms and changes in the system of the priest’s college, while there is also a tablet in the British Museum.
It was engraved with a poem from this era in which the origin of everything that appeared and what was hidden was attributed to God Ptah, the one God who is the creator of everything. Likewise, in Saqqara, a cemetery was found of a high priest of Ptah during the reign of the king.
