Khufu’s son- Khafre also has a massive pyramid called the Pyramid of Chephren. It was constructed in 2570 BC on a bedrock giving it a higher elevation and thus having a more pointed top. The Great Sphinx is a statue of a huge human body with a lion’s head carved out of natural rock that guards the Pyramid of Khufu. The Red Pyramid is the largest in Dahshur. It gained this name for the rusty reddish hue of its red Limestone stones, and The Red Pyramid is the third-largest Pyramid in Egypt after Kufu and Kafre in Giza.
