The uniqueness of Kawkab al-Sharq was not only in her distinctive voice and creativity on stage, as she is the only woman for whom a museum was established in Egypt, consisting of several halls containing her various possessions. In honor of the role of the Lady of Arab Singing in the Egyptian and Arab conscience, the Egyptian Ministry of Culture decided to establish the "Umm Kulthum" museum, and in late April 1998, work began to equip it.
