It was officially opened in April 1956 by the Minister of National Guidance at the time. Before that, it was a mausoleum containing the remains of the two leaders Mustafa Kamel and Muhammad Farid, and it tells the story of the hero Mustafa Kamel’s struggle against the British occupation.

The museum includes two large halls that contain On some of the leader’s remnants represented in books and letters by Mustafa Kamel in his handwriting and some pictures of his friends and relatives. As well as some of his personal belongings, such as clothes, dining utensils, and his office room.

The museum is built in the Islamic style with an Islamic dome.

There is a large garden around the museum building. The museum currently houses the remains of thinkers and national fighters, Abd al-Rahman al-Rawi and Fathi Radwan.

The museum was a cemetery for the body of Mostafa Kamel's leader and then the bodies of Abdelrhman El Rafey and Fathy Radwan were also transported. The museum is built in the style of the Islamic mausoleum dome and includes two rooms containing some of the objects of leader Mustafa Kamel, represented in his books and handwritten letters, and some photos of his friends and relatives, as well as some of his personal belongings such as clothes, food utensils and his office room, and the museum also includes oil paintings depicting the Denshway incident. 

Mostafa Kamel Pasha (1874–1908) was a prominent Egyptian nationalist leader, journalist, and politician. He was a key figure in the movement for Egyptian independence from British colonial rule and advocated for social, political, and cultural reform in Egypt.
