The Royal Mummies Hall
The Royal Mummies Hall in the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, was just an ordinary room, in which the royal mummies were displayed, as usual, like the rest of the antiquities in the museum.
The Egyptian Museum in Cairo
It was designed in the form of the tombs of the western mainland in Luxor, to embody the pharaonic tombs on which the mummies of the kings and queens of the ancient Egyptians were found.
To the hall, the visitor walks on LED screens bearing a triple representation of the tombs of the West Bank in Luxor, and some murals and walls of the royal tombs, while the images of the mummies themselves and their coffins are displayed at the top of the entrance, with a thrilling pharaonic music show, steps from the hall door.
Very similar to the ancient Egyptian tombs, even the tombs of the towering mountains were embodied at the top of the hall.
The visitor can walk around the hall by following the arrows on the ground after the division of hall of the royal mummies was divided from the inside into smaller halls.
A number of mummies were placed in each hall with the honor board, which is a complete identification plate for each of them, as well as a projector showing the history of each mummy, Displaying some of the sarcophagi of the mummies that were found during their discovery.
On April 3, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat received 22 royal mummies in a solemn procession from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir to display them at its permanent headquarters inside the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat.
The mummies date back to the era of the 17th and 18th families, 19 and 20, including 18 mummies of kings and 4 mummies of queens, and last July 17 royal coffins were received.
