You will be picked up at your hotel at 8 am and taken to Hurghada airport. There, you will board a plane that will take you to Luxor. Once there, you will be met by your tour guide and driven to the Luxor east bank tour. We will start the Hurgada day tours with a trip to Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple. We will visit the Luxor Temple first, which was dedicated to the Theban Triad: Amun-Ra, Mut, and Khonsu. It was built by Ramses II around 1250 BCE as part of his funerary complex.
Ramses was a great Pharoah who was the son of king Seti I, and the owner of the famous battle of Qadesh with the Hittites who defeated them completely which made them ask for the most famous peace treaty in Ancient History.
Then we'll head to Karnak Temple, believed to be the most significant religious complex ever built in the world. It's also the site of many festivals including the Opet Festival and Feast of Min. It is located on the east bank of Thebes (Luxor), on the western shore of the Nile River. The temples were built by pharaohs of the New Kingdom, who were dedicated to Amon-Re, god of gods and king of kings, and his wife Mut, goddess of love and war. It includes an enormous hypostyle hall with 134 columns and a massive outer court with more than 2,000 columns.
