In the morning.
The day tour will start with your reception from your hotel in Marsa Alam through our tour guide in Cairo Top Tours, then we will transfer you in a comfortable, air-conditioned car.
Upon your arrival in the land of amazing civilizations, you will start your day trip to Luxor from Marsa Alam, exploring the most beautiful and famous sites here! We will start in the Luxor Temple, an ancient temple dedicated to Amun-Ra (one of the three main gods in ancient Egypt), which has been standing for more than 3,000 years and has the solidity and strength of civilization inside.
The temple is currently undergoing restoration work on its walls and columns, which are usually brightly coloured, but still very intact - and will give you a great sense of what life was like in ancient times and how they lived. Then we head to Karnak Temple - home of Amun Ra - where we will explore the second largest religious site in the world.
Then embark on a tour of Luxor in the West Bank, where we will visit the Valley of the Kings which was used as a tomb for the pharaohs and their families from the 15th century BC until the 10th century AD.
The tombs are built into the cliffs on either side of the valley, with an entrance carved into the rock face of each tomb and a Hatshepsut temple dedicated to Pharaoh Hatshepsut, who ruled Egypt from 1479 BC to 1458 BC.
It was built by Senemut, a high official who worked on many major projects during her reign. He also served under her father and her brother, who followed her as president after her death.
We'll also stop at some other great places along the way! After lunch, our guide will take you on a Nile cruise in the heart of the Nile for half an hour to see the beauty of this great city and the greatness of the ancient Egyptians.
Finally, after enjoying a full day tour of Luxor and a felucca ride up the Nile, you will return to your hotel in Marsa Alam again by car. your on the trip.
