Pompey's pillar:
It was held in memory of Emperor Diocletian in the 3rd century A.D, the last surviving monument from the Temple of the Serapeum built by Postumus. You will get to see some interesting statues and sphinxes in the ruined temple that once was the center of the cult in the old Alexandria.
The Citadel of Qaitbay:
Sultan Qaitbay started building this castle in the year 882 AH, where the great lighthouse Pharos ( one of the seven man-made wonders of the world ) used to be standing.
The Bibliotheca of Alexandria:
The new Library of Alexandria is a revival of the old Library which was burned down in the early centuries after date, the largest library of its time in a huge project that Egypt undertook jointly with the United Nations.
